An excellent place to stay for hikers, pilgrims and other travelers. Friendly, very clean and cozy, very good value for money.

Actually we wanted to float on "cloud 7" for our celebration on site and let us spoil you with culinary delights ... but then Corona came and there was a wonderful alternative !!! For this, we, Gerald & Martina, would like to thank the two innkeepers again. It was very wonderful, the delicious dishes and above all, the lovely friendly way ... we will certainly not forget that. We came across the Klosterhotel last year on our crossing of the Baudensteig and were warmly received and the food was already terrific. At that time we became aware of the whiskey dinners and gave away this, of course, participated ourselves. It was a great whiskey trip with our friends with delicious whiskey and a spicy menu. Five 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for the cook. A taste experience from beginning to end. A great gift to recommend to everyone.

We were thrilled by how committed and loving the two owners have run and furnished the house. The hotel restaurant including the food has that certain something. The monastery Walkenried is reached in 2 minutes on foot. Thank you, we will gladly come again.

Very nice hotel, very friendly hosts, great restaurant with very friendly service and really good food. The breakfast in the hotel left nothing to be desired, highly recommended.

The hotel is by no means standard and in a few places still in the making (as of July 2018) but all the small points are more than offset by the charm and commitment of the operators. Great accommodation for a fair price. Any time! P.S. the "master of the house" is a two-wheeler technician, which might be interesting for cyclists ...

I was invited to a confirmation party at the Klosterhotel Walkenried and I was very pleasantly surprised by the way in which the renovation of this old hotel has taken care to showcase its old charm with modern chic. The food was also very good and I particularly liked the old German apple pie, which I can absolutely recommend. All in all, it was a very nice afternoon / evening in which we received excellent meals in an interesting atmosphere.

Decent, very lovingly furnished hotel with a lot of charm! Extremely friendly and courteous hosts, you feel like friends. And the great kitchen makes the stay a very special experience. We will be back!

If you do not want to 08/15 hotels with always the same boring decor, then the monastery hotel in Walkenried is just right. An old venerable house is and has been prepared with great attention to detail, each room is individually designed. This has charm and the hosts make every guest feel welcome. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Very nice restaurant, the owners are lovely. The card changes frequently and is always varied. Fresh and tasty food, what more?
